About Xiaoran (Mia) Zhu
Xiaoran (Mia) is a photographer, cinematographer, and Creative AI Workflow Specialist working across node-based AI workflows, video and image generation, production, photography, and post-production.
She holds a Master’s degree from New York University Tisch School of the Arts’ Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Villanova University, with minors in Communication and Art History.
Mia’s photography focuses on fashion, street, and fine art imagery. Her work has been selected and published on PhotoVogue by Vogue Italia and exhibited by Analog Forever Magazine and Arrival Gallery. She also served as cinematographer and editor for the social justice documentary Rooted, selected for The 14th Annual International Puerto Rican Heritage Film Festival.
Most recently, Mia worked as a Forward Deployed Creative at GMI Cloud, where she designed template workflows for GMI Studio’s creative library, built custom workflows tailored to customers’ creative briefs, projects, and use cases, edited video content, managed YouTube operations, and supported community and partner outreach.
Her broader experience includes photo assisting, digital tech, retouching, and fashion production work for Lisa Shin Photography, Kiss Products, CARAA, and Wenjüe Lu.
